With the Return Query tool, you can learn whether we received a return (i.e. if it is shown there, we received it) and whether it was Accepted or Rejected (Federal and state). If an e-file was rejected, you can see the reject code, an explanation, and the exact field in the return causing the rejection.
You can also “rehang an ack” there, which re-sends the IRS or state acknowledgement to you, if needed to update your database. This is the same tool used by our Customer Care representatives, right at your fingertips 24 hours a day!
Find this tool by clicking on the "Returns" tab at the top of the screen. Once here, you may click either the "Accepted" or "Rejected" status links to open the reject message, then you may click the More Info link in the status window to open the Return Query tool.
